ALIVE THROUGH CHRIST
Text: Ephesians 2:1 - 10
The message before us today is most central to the christian faith and belief. It is one of the most crucial tenets of our way of life which divides us from the rest of the phenomenon the world calls religion. We are and were justified - acquitted, set free, declared not guilty, accepted - because of what Jesus of Nazareth had done. He died the death that was ours and God accepted his sacrifice for our redemption, justification and sanctification. So that we who were dead in sin became alive in Christ.
This is the greatest mystery of all time and anyone yet to accept the authority and leadership of Christ is cannot understand it. This mystery is the life of the believer. We are raised from spiritual death and set upon the highest place in the spiritual realm and sitted with Christ. We are no longer bound nor captive to the natural dictates of sin. Sin and Satan cannot mesmerise us anymore. Our lives have been given back to us the way the father intended originally. Henceforth, we are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. We are Dedicated, delivered, redeemed, set apart, sanctified and purified to do every good work that the father has designated for us in Christ.
Beloved, this is why we are called privileged.. Nothing can attack nor hinder us for this knowledge is our power. We have overcome by the blood of the lamb and by the word of his testimony. God wants us to keep disseminating this message to every living soul until Jesus' return. Let the world know that there is life only in Jesus. Anyone who has the son has life but any who hath not the son hath not life. (1John 5:12) No matter how good natured they may be, without Christ, to cut off the offensive overflow of sin and give the ingrafted life of his holy nature, they remain bound by Satan and can never be truly alive.
PRAYER: Father you have given us the blessedness of real life in Christ Jesus through the faith we repose in his shed blood to redeem mankind. Grant that we abide steadfastly in the vine so that this life we have received will never be taken away from us but will remain with us forevermore, Amen!
