GOD HAS ANOTHER PLAN

RESURRECTION SUNDAY, 2022 :

Text: Luke 24:1-12

Scripture: verses 6 - 7

He is not here, but is risen; remember how he spake to you when he was at Galilee, saying, the son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men and be crucified and the third day rise again.

God, indeed, has another plan. Jesus came, lived and died as an ordinary man. When he died after the brutal torture and got laid in the grave, everyone saw it as the end. However, God's plan was different.  His holy one shall not see decay. Nor held captive by the grave. Jesus defeated death and became the first man to rise from the dead all by himself.

It is this mystery we celebrate today. Resurrection Sunday is the assurance that Jesus sacrifice of himself on the cross as a ransom for many, is accepted by God. For if Christ is not risen then our faith and preaching is vain (1 Corinthians 15: 17). Death indeed is swallowed up (Isaiah 25:8) O death where is thy sting? O grave where is thy victory? Jesus has won. For the string of death is sin and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God who has given us victory through our lord Jesus. He has put an end to the law and has paid the wages of sin with his death.

For whomsoever the son shall set free is free indeed. He has set us free from the bondages and shackles of sin and death. We are no longer limited. We have the assurance of endless life in him. And this is the record, God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his son, whoever has the son has life but whoever has not the son has not life. (1John5:11-12). Eternal life is knowing the father, the one true God and Jesus Christ whom he has sent. Embrace him today for an assurance of this endless life that we celebrate today. He is not dead. He is a living saviour, who lives forevermore. He is The quickening spirit who gives  eternal  life to all that put trust in what he has done.

Thank you holy Father for the wondrous work you have done for us in Jesus. The virus of death which Adam's sin brought into the make up of man is today squashed and removed because of Jesus death and resurrection. We live in the blessed hope of this eternal life waiting eagerly for the time of our total redemption in Christ. Grant that we may not be disappointed in Jesus name. Amen

HAPPY EASTER!
