Our God Saves: Scripture Union Daily Guide Review February 1,2024
Psalms 68:5[5]A father of the fatherless, a defender of widows, Is God in His holy habitation.
[12]Kings of armies flee, they flee, And she who remains at home divides the spoil.
So, why does a believer fear or engage in unbiblical prayers? It is enough for us to know that God cares for us more than we can ever imagine. A look at verse 6 shows us that he sets the solitary in families and establishes the bound in prosperity. What this means is that God's ability to save goes beyond His saving grace from sin Satan and darkness. He is interested in our physical life here on earth.
Psalms 68:6,
[6]God sets the solitary in families; He brings out those who are bound into prosperity; But the rebellious dwell in a dry land.
He wants us to be happy. Loneliness which is experienced by the single and unmarried is not His desire. So He is committed to establishing them in their own families. Psalms 68:18,20
[18]You have ascended on high, You have led captivity captive; You have received gifts among men, Even from the rebellious, That the Lord God might dwell there.[20]Our God is the God of salvation; And to God the Lord belong escapes from death.

Even today, God is still in the business of delivering and saving from uncertain and untimely deaths;

physical and spiritual. All you need is to believe that He is able to save you from every shackle, bondage of sin and throes of sickness. Then come to him in that same faith relinquishing your own ability and taking up his Grace.
PRAYER: Father, your love that surpasses human understanding, ensures that we are kept safe in your hand. In the midst of every turbulent scene, help us realize that you our rock of defense, who saves, can never be defeated. Amen.
