JESUS BEGINS HIS PUBLIC MINISTRY

TEXT: MATT 4 V 12 - 25

The end of John the Baptist ministry marks the beginning of Jesus public ministry.  This shows us that we must give way for Jesus Christ to takeover His ministry in our lives.

Everything that has a begining must have an end. After shinning for many years and God has raised somebody better than you, instead of persecuting that person and block his light, please give way for the new power and strength to enter the church, fellowship or town to accomplish what you could not do.

Do you also wonder why Jesus after hearing about John's arrest by Herod. (The same John, who announced His arrival and also baptized Him) did not go to Herod and tell him to release John?  Rather He shifted from the place of trouble to another place to do His work and allowed John to carry his own cross.

Do you know that Jesus attitude displeased John? This made him to send his disciples to ask Jesus whether He was still the Messiah. Yet Jesus did not go to prison to save John until he died. May we never be disappointed by God! May we never be so shortsighted and disillusioned with God that we begin to doubt our own prophecy in Jesus name Amen.

Do not get angry with God if He refused to answer your prayers this year and allow you to suffer beyond what you expected. Everyone must carry his cross and if your cross leads you to death, heaven is open to welcome you.

The most important thing is not what we suffer in this world rather where we will end after suffering.

Jesus Christ continued from where John the Baptist stopped and that is the same gospel of repentance. This year has been declared a year of REPENTANCE ✓

GRACE✓

FRUITFULNESS ✓ and

PRAISE✓

In that ORDER 

If genuine repentance had not taken place in the heart of men there is no service they can render to God that will be accepted. Moreover, if you received wealth, healing and other miracles and remain in your sins you are going to hell.

Jesus Christ never announced to people to bring the sick and the dead to Him as we do while announcing our crusades rather His fame accompanied by His works announced Him to those who brought their problems to Him. I pray that our good works will announce us to this world and not us announcing our good works.

The formation of Jesus ministry was more important to Him than going to talk about John's case and when He shifted to Capernaum He began to call His disciples who will make up the committee of His ministry. It is important to note that those He called first did not reject His call but why are you rejecting Jesus call into the ministry? Do not allow this year to passed you again without answering your call.

I don't know whether your own ministry has started or if it ended before it even began. Today I urge you,  take a que from Jesus Christ. Surrender your whole life to Christ today and watch him transform you!

Lastly, remember that John the Baptist was deeply committed to God yet God was apparently silent when he landed in trouble. Is God keeping quiet over your problems? Do not charge Him for this rather be patient and commit your problems to Him. Be of good cheer. God knows about it all. We shall understand it better by and by.

Prayer:

Lord Jesus Christ, help me to answer your call. When I do not see my own footsteps, open my eyes to see that you are carrying me. Amen!
